Centurion Hotel Grand Kobe Station

The location was unbeatable, right in front of the JR Kobe Station. It made accessing the subway, shopping, and waterfront dining easy. The room was spacious, definitely bigger than typical Japanese hotels, and the large TV was a nice touch. The staff were accommodating and helped with any requests. The artwork in the room could be improved. The view was disappointing, with a wall just inches away from the window. The room's lighting felt too dim, harder to relax at times. A TV channel in English would enhance the experience, especially for international travelers. Despite these issues, the hotel's proximity to local attractions was nice.

Minatogawa Shrine was steps away from the hotel, thoroughly enjoyed its location to tourists attractions. The staff was extremely friendly and absolutely friendly providing the information. I was amazed by the breakfast, it's marvellous.

Non-smoking room had an unpleasant tobacco smell!!! Wallpaper peeling and dated decor!!! Lighting was too dim!!! No English TV channels available to enhance the experience!!!

The hotel had a fantastic location near Kobe Station, making travel easy. The non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke.

Unfortunately, the room reeked of stale tobacco despite being labeled non-smoking, and the odor lingered throughout the stay. I also noticed a dirty sofa, which wasn't what I expected from a hotel of this stature. The decor felt outdated and dull. The air conditioning directed airflow uncomfortably while sleeping.

Is it really that good? My take

Incredibly helpful staff, offering assistance with local calls, and spacious accommodations for families. The hotel's proximity to transportation and discounted parking adds to its value.
